Privacy Policy
For the Ransack web build and this website. Last updated October 14, 2026.
The short version: the game runs entirely in your browser, your saves stay on your own device, and we don't collect your personal data through the game or this website.
The game (web build)
- No accounts. There is no sign-in, registration, or user profile in the web build.
- Saves live on your device. Your progress, settings, and preferences are stored in your browser's local storage, on the device you play on. That data never leaves your device for us — we have no server receiving it. Clearing your browser's site data deletes your save, and playing in a different browser or on a different device starts a separate game.
- No tracking in the game. The web build contains no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no third-party data collection.
This website
This site is a small static website. We do not set cookies, and we do not run analytics or advertising trackers on it. Like any website, it is delivered by a hosting provider, which may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and request times) to operate and secure the service; we do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors.
The feedback form
Inside the game there is an optional feedback link (“Send word to the crow's nest”). It opens a Google Form. If you choose to fill it in, your answers are sent to Google and shared with us as form responses so we can improve the game. Google's own privacy policy applies to that form. The form asks about your play experience — please don't include personal details in free-text answers.
If you write to us at our support address, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use them only to reply and to handle your report. We don't sell email addresses or add them to marketing lists.
Changes and the app-store release
Ransack is in development and playtesting. This policy describes the web build as it exists today. We will update this policy before the game's app-store release, when its features and data practices may change, and the current version will always be posted on this page with its date.
